workshops, panels, and courses at conventions and campuses,
including Anne Arundel Community College, Charles County
Community College, Harrisburg Area Community College,
and Towson State University.

• April 8, 2006
WRT 322-201, Locating and Securing an Agent
This one-day class covers writing query letters, cover
letters, and how to do marketing research and avoid scam
agents and publishers. It runs from 10:00 A.M. until 4:00
P.M.

• April 22 and 23rd, 2006
WRG-334-201, Writing and Marketing Commercial Fiction
This two-day class covers the essentials of writing
fiction aimed at commercial markets. The second day is
devoted to information about marketing your fiction, including
marketing research, writing query letters to agents or
publishers, and avoiding scammers in the literary field.
Ann will read the first 20 pages of a manuscript submitted
at least two weeks before the workshop dates. Send manuscript
